Niva Bupa Health Insurance announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, reporting strong growth in profit, premium collections and retail health insurance business. The company also improved its claim settlement performance and expanded its presence in the retail health insurance market.

  • Profit after tax (PAT) increased 93% year-on-year to ₹138 crore.
  • Gross Written Premium (GWP) rose 32% YoY to ₹2,150 crore.
  • The retail health insurance business recorded 47% YoY growth.
  • Retail health market share improved to 11.1%, strengthening the company's position in the health insurance segment. 

Operational Performance Improves

The company continued to improve its operational efficiency and customer service during the quarter.

  • Claim Settlement Ratio increased to 95.6%.
  • Combined Insurance Service Ratio (CISR) improved to 100.2%, compared with 103.2% in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
  • The improved CISR reflects the company's focus on profitable and sustainable growth. 

Distribution Channels Continue to Grow

Niva Bupa witnessed healthy growth across its distribution network.

  • The Direct Business channel recorded the fastest growth during the quarter, supported by increasing customer preference for the company's digital platform.
  • The Agency channel also reported strong growth.
  • Bancassurance continued to remain an important part of the company's diversified distribution network.

Vishwanath Mahendra, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Niva Bupa Health Insurance, said the company's performance reflects its long-term strategy of delivering profitable growth while building customer trust.

He added that the increase in retail market share, higher claim settlement ratio and strong profitability indicate that more customers are choosing Niva Bupa for their health insurance needs. He also highlighted the strong performance of the Direct and Agency channels, which supports the company's omnichannel distribution strategy.

  • A distribution network of around 2.5 lakh agents.
  • Over 600 brokers.
  • More than 130 bancassurance and corporate agency partners.

  • A network of more than 10,600 empanelled hospitals.
