Nestle India has appointed Nitu Bhushan as head of human resources, effective March 2, 2026, as per exchange filings. She joins from Pernod Ricard, where she was chief HR head, and has previously held leadership roles at Abbott, Mondelez and HSBC.
The appointment was handled by global executive search firm Egon Zehnder International, without involvement from the India board, as the company sharpens its leadership structure amid intensifying competition in the packaged foods market.
Alongside the HR appointment, Nestle India confirmed multiple leadership changes. Svetlana Boldina, executive director for finance and control and chief financial officer, will move to a new role within a Nestle affiliate and step down from her current position on January 31, 2026, with her successor to be named later.
Separately, executive director for technical operations Satish Srinivasan will retire on May 31, 2026, while Jagdeep Singh Marahar has been appointed whole-time director from June 1, 2026, and will take over as head of technical. These transitions follow Manish Tiwary assuming charge as managing director and chairman in February 2025.
As per news reports, at the group level, parent Nestle SA has announced a large-scale restructuring, including plans to reduce around 16,000 roles, or about 6% of its global workforce, over the next 2 years.
The Swiss foods major said it must “focus on products with the highest potential returns” and “change faster with a performance mindset” as it responds to rising competition. In India, Nestle continues to navigate challenges from regional, local and direct-to-consumer brands while realigning its leadership for the next phase of growth.
