Mahindra Unveils BE 6 SPORTEQ Electric SUV Series

On August 15, 2026, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited announced the introduction of the BE 6 SPORTEQ electric SUV series, as per the exchange filings.  

This new lineup features a Battery as a Service ownership model, starting at ₹11.45 Lakh, and includes a digital cockpit with six advanced software suites.  

Deliveries are set to begin on August 26, 2026, coinciding with the Onam festival. 

BE 6 SPORTEQ Series Highlights 

The BE 6 SPORTEQ series offers 12 distinct colours and 8 variants. From the 2nd variant onwards, vehicles are equipped with an immersive three-screen coast-to-coast display. The Formula E Freedom Edition focuses on performance, featuring a race-inspired cockpit with 2 screens and a signature halo design. 

Advanced Technology Integration 

Mahindra's specialised Artificial Intelligence Architecture, MAIA, powers the vehicles, enabling conversational interactions through Google Gemini with 17 specialised AI agents. Enhanced features include in-car gaming, custom drive modes, and advanced security monitoring. Existing electric vehicle owners will receive software updates starting January 2027.

Special Editions and Pricing 

The top-tier Launch Edition boasts a unique Graphite Storm exterior and a premium Racing Tan leatherette interior. The Freedom Edition celebrates Mahindra Racing's global motorsport victories, offering an acceleration boost to 100 km/h in 6.44 seconds.  

Variant prices for the 59 kWh battery option start at ₹11.45 Lakh, with upgraded options up to ₹26.95 Lakh. The Formula E variants range from ₹24.45 Lakh to ₹26.95 Lakh, and the basic battery service rate is ₹3.75 per kilometre.
