M&M share priceis expected to remain in focus on Thursday, July 10, after Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) announced a price hike across its SUV and commercial vehicle (CV) portfolio. The revised prices, effective from July 10, are aimed at partially offsetting rising commodity costs and come on the back of strong vehicle sales and robust FY26 earnings.

M&M Raises Vehicle Prices to Offset Rising Costs

Mahindra & Mahindra said it will increase prices of its SUVs by an average of 2.7%, while commercial vehicle prices will rise by around 2%. The company added that the extent of the hike will vary depending on the model.

Its SUV portfolio includes popular models such as the Scorpio range, Thar, XUV 3XO and XUV 7XO, with ex-showroom prices ranging from ₹7.54 lakh to ₹25.07 lakh. This marks the second price revision in 2026 after the automaker increased prices of its non-electric SUVs and commercial vehicles by up to 2.5% in April, citing higher input costs.

Strong June Sales Support Growth Outlook

The latest price hike comes after M&M reported healthy sales for June 2026. Total sales, including exports, rose 37% year-on-year to 1,06,207 units from 77,742 units in the corresponding month last year.

Domestic SUV sales climbed 28% to 60,393 units, while domestic commercial vehicle sales increased 35% to 26,076 units.

The company's Farm Equipment Business also maintained strong momentum, with total tractor sales rising 12% year-on-year to 59,935 units. Domestic tractor sales stood at 58,177 units, while exports grew 8% to 1,758 units. The company said government support measures are expected to help cushion the impact of emerging El Niño conditions on the upcoming Kharif season.

Strong FY26 Earnings Add to Investor Focus

M&M reported a 48.5% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to ₹5,259.91 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026. Revenue from operations increased to ₹54,891.55 crore from ₹42,585.67 crore in the year-ago period.

For FY26, consolidated net profit rose 32.3% to ₹18,621.71 crore, while revenue from operations grew to ₹1,97,792.78 crore. The board also recommended a final dividend of ₹33 per equity share of face value ₹5.

Conclusion

The latest price hike reflects Mahindra & Mahindra's efforts to manage rising input costs while capitalising on sustained demand across its SUV, commercial vehicle, and tractor businesses. Backed by strong June sales and robust FY26 earnings, the company continues to demonstrate operational strength. As a result, M&M share price is likely to remain in focus as investors with a demat account assess the impact of higher vehicle prices on demand and future profitability.
