LTM Limited has announced a strategic initiative to upskill its workforce in artificial intelligence by offering Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Open Learning’s Universal AI programme. The initiative, launched in collaboration with upGrad Enterprise, reflects the company’s focus on building AI-first capabilities across its global talent base.

The programme aims to equip employees with foundational AI knowledge and practical skills, reinforcing LTM’s long-term strategy of embedding AI into enterprise solutions.

What the AI Learning Programme Offers

The MIT Open Learning Universal AI programme is designed to provide a structured understanding of AI systems, including how they work, their applications, and their broader impact. As highlighted in the press release on page 2, the course includes 16 foundational modules along with vertical-specific learning tracks, catering to employees across different skill levels.

Importantly, the programme does not require prior coding expertise, making it accessible to a wider workforce. Upon completion, employees will receive credentials from MIT Open Learning, validating their understanding of AI concepts and applications.

Strategic Importance for LTM

This initiative aligns with LTM’s broader goal of creating a future-ready workforce capable of delivering AI-led solutions. The company emphasised that empowering employees with scientific thinking and first-principles reasoning will enable better decision-making and innovation.

Senior leadership also highlighted that human intervention remains critical in AI adoption, making structured upskilling essential. By partnering with upGrad Enterprise, LTM aims to scale this programme efficiently across its workforce and institutionalise AI learning within the organisation.
