
The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced its consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ending March 31, 2026.
The results reveal significant growth in both income and net profit, reflecting the corporation's robust performance in the insurance sector.
LIC's total income for the March 2026 quarter increased by 14.5% year-on-year (YoY), reaching ₹2,77,394.22 crore, compared to ₹2,42,270.32 crore in the same quarter the previous year.
On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, this represents an 18.3% rise from ₹2,34,465.58 crore in December 2025.
The net profit (PAT) for the March 2026 quarter saw a 23.3% YoY increase, amounting to ₹23,467.18 crore, up from ₹19,038.67 crore a year earlier.
This also marks a significant 81.5% QoQ increase from ₹12,930.44 crore in December 2025.
For the financial year 2025-26, LIC's total income rose by 9.9% YoY to ₹9,74,797.60 crore, compared to ₹8,87,339.48 crore in the previous fiscal year.
The net profit for FY26 increased by 18.9% YoY, reaching ₹57,453.15 crore, up from ₹48,320.33 crore in FY25.
The LIC Board has recommended a final dividend of ₹10 per equity share of ₹10 each for the financial year 2025-26, subject to shareholder approval at the 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for July 27, 2026.
The record date for the final dividend is set for June 25, 2026.

The Board has also announced a bonus issue in the ratio of 1:1, with the record date fixed for May 29, 2026. Eligible shareholders will receive 1 new fully paid-up equity share for every existing share held. The deemed date of allotment for these bonus shares is June 1, 2026.
