The stock rose to an intraday high of ₹1,854.90 on the NSE, making Laurus Labs one of the select Indian pharmaceutical companies with a market value exceeding ₹1 trillion.
The company has delivered strong returns to investors over the past year, backed by robust financial performance and continued growth in its Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) business.
Laurus Labs has significantly outperformed the broader market across different time periods. Over the last month, the stock has gained 22%, compared with a 2.1% rise in the Nifty Midcap 50 Index. So far in 2026, the stock has climbed 66%, while the index has advanced 5.2%. Over the past one year, Laurus Labs has surged 120%, reflecting strong investor confidence.
The company's strong first-quarter results played a key role in the recent rally.
During the April-June 2026 quarter, Laurus Labs reported:
The growth was mainly supported by higher commercial supplies in the CDMO business and steady demand for its affordable medicine portfolio. The company also maintained healthy profitability through a favourable product mix and improved operating leverage.
Laurus Labs continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its CDMO business.
During the quarter, the company signed a development and commercial agreement with Aarvik Therapeutics for 2 antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) molecules for the Indian market. It also onboarded a major global pharmaceutical client, which management believes offers significant long-term opportunities.
The company has guided FY27 capital expenditure of ₹2,000 crore and remains on track to build a commercial-scale peptide manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam. It is also investing in advanced technologies such as biologics and ADCs to support future growth.
With a market capitalisation exceeding ₹1 lakh crore, Laurus Labs has joined the ranks of India's leading pharmaceutical companies by market value. It now stands among the top pharma companies alongside Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Divi's Laboratories, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Cipla, Zydus Lifesciences, Lupin and Mankind Pharma.
