L&T Technology Services Limited has announced the launch of its next-generation AI-powered digital twin platform designed for lung navigation, surgical planning, and respiratory diagnostics.

The platform represents a major advancement in digital healthcare solutions by combining artificial intelligence with advanced medical imaging technologies.

The solution integrates LTTS’s expertise in medical technology, AI-driven diagnostics, and connected healthcare systems to support improved clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.

Advanced Medical Imaging and Digital Twin Technology

The platform integrates directly with CT imaging workflows and uses deep learning models to reconstruct a detailed three-dimensional digital twin of the lungs. This digital twin enables a comprehensive visual representation of lung anatomy, including airways, blood vessels, lung lobes, and lesions.

By creating a highly accurate patient-specific digital model, clinicians can explore lung structures in a virtual environment and plan complex medical procedures more effectively. The solution also allows simulation of procedural pathways for bronchoscopy and biopsy planning, improving precision and reducing potential risks during treatment.

Powered by NVIDIA AI Infrastructure

The platform is powered by advanced AI infrastructure from NVIDIA, which enhances the system’s computing capabilities and performance.

It utilises NVIDIA Omniverse and OpenUSD to provide interactive 3D visualisation of lung anatomy, enabling immersive exploration of complex structures. NVIDIA TensorRT is used to optimise AI inference performance, supporting faster processing of clinical data and high-speed workflows.

Additionally, the platform integrates NVIDIA MONAI, which supports advanced medical image segmentation. This technology helps automatically identify important anatomical structures such as airways, blood vessels, tumors, and lung lobes within imaging data.

L&T Technology Services scalable digital twin platform converts traditional static CT scans into dynamic, simulation-ready lung models. This enables clinicians to better analyse anatomical structures, plan surgical pathways, and navigate bronchoscopic procedures with greater precision.

The platform also supports advanced capabilities such as enhanced visualisation, automated image segmentation, volumetric analysis, and navigation path planning. These features help clinicians streamline pre-operative planning, reduce preparation time, and improve overall procedural safety and clinical outcomes.
