JSW Infrastructure Q1 FY27 Results: Revenue Rises 18% YoY to ₹1,445 Crore, Cargo Volumes Reach 31 Million Tonnes

JSW Infrastructure Limited, India's second-largest private commercial port operator, announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported growth in revenue, cargo volumes, and operating EBITDA, supported by strong performance across its ports and logistics businesses.
JSW Infrastructure Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights
The company reported revenue from operations of ₹1,445 crore, up 18% year-on-year (YoY) from ₹1,224 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Operating EBITDA increased 16% YoY to ₹674 crore, compared to ₹581 crore in Q1 FY26.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at ₹463 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) came in at ₹358 crore. The decline in profit compared to last year was mainly due to lower other income and a higher effective tax rate.
Cargo Volumes Grow 6%
JSW Infrastructure handled 31 million tonnes of cargo during the quarter, reflecting 6% YoY growth.
The increase was driven by:
- Higher cargo volumes at Jaigarh Port from anchor customers and third-party cargo.
- Strong performance at Dharamtar Port, South West Port, and Ennore Bulk Terminal.
- Contribution from interim operations at the Tuticorin Terminal.
However, lower volumes at the Fujairah Liquid Terminal due to challenging conditions in the Middle East partly offset the overall growth.
Logistics Business Delivers Strong Growth
The company's logistics segment, including Navkar Corp and its rail rake business, recorded robust growth during the quarter.
- Revenue from logistics operations increased to ₹237 crore from ₹138 crore a year ago.
- Operating EBITDA jumped to ₹73 crore, compared to ₹20 crore in Q1 FY26, supported by operating leverage and expansion of the rail fleet.
Operational Updates During the Quarter
JSW Infrastructure achieved several milestones in Q1 FY27, including:
- Expanded cargo handling capacity at South West Port, Goa from 11 MTPA to 12 MTPA.
- Increased capacity at the Mangalore Container Terminal from 4.2 MTPA to 6.0 MTPA.
- Received environmental clearance and rail connectivity approval for Murbe Port in Maharashtra.
- Started interim operations at the Kolkata Container Terminal and secured another PPP container terminal project at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, increasing total container handling capacity in Kolkata to 1.4 million TEUs.
- Began commercial operations at the Arakkonam GCT, strengthening its logistics network.
- Successfully completed a ₹7,503 crore Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) to support future expansion and meet SEBI's minimum public shareholding norms.
- Received an Investment Grade Baa3 rating with Stable Outlook from Moody's, reflecting its strong balance sheet and financial flexibility.
