Jio Financial Services announced that its subsidiary, Jio Payments Bank Limited (JPBL), has commenced tolling operations under the FASTag Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR)-based Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) project at the Manoharpura Fee Plaza on National Highway 48 (NH-48) in Rajasthan.
The rollout follows a contract awarded by the Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) to Jio Payments Bank in October 2025 for managing toll processing under India's pilot MLFF project. The project covers the Shahjahanpur and Manoharpura toll plazas on the Gurugram-Jaipur corridor.
Located on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, the Manoharpura Fee Plaza is expected to handle nearly 8.8 million vehicles annually. Jio Payments Bank manages a connected corridor spanning approximately 100 km from Shahjahanpur to Manoharpura and another 34 km between Manoharpura and Daulatpur.
The Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) system combines Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and FASTag RFID technologies to enable barrierless toll collection. Under this system, vehicles can pass through toll plazas without stopping, while toll charges are processed automatically using vehicle identification technologies.
The initiative is aimed at improving traffic flow, reducing congestion at toll plazas, and enhancing the efficiency of electronic toll collection on national highways.
For the implementation of the project:
Jio Platforms Limited serves as the central project manager.
Tecsidel India Private Limited has deployed the core software architecture and advanced instrumentation required for the MLFF system.
As of July 2, 2026, at 2:32 PM, Jio Financial Services share price was trading at ₹239.62 each on the NSE, down ₹0.39 or 0.16% from the previous close of ₹240.01.
The stock opened at ₹240.01, touched an intraday high of ₹240.79, and a low of ₹238.83.
The company's market capitalisation stood at ₹1,58,224.48 crore.
