
Jindal Stainless has been recognised with six awards at the 12th National Awards for Manufacturing Competitiveness (NAMC), as per an exchange filing dated July 24, 2026.
The awards were received by the company's Hisar and Mundra manufacturing facilities following an evaluation of industrial units from across the country. The assessment covered manufacturing processes, operational systems, and overall factory performance.
The Hisar unit received the Gold Medal and the AatmaNirbhar Nation Builder Award under the AatmaNirbhar Factory Recognition Programme (AFRP) for the fourth consecutive year.
It also won the Diamond Medal for the second consecutive year and was named second runner-up in the overall NAMC rankings. The Mundra plant received the Silver Medal along with the AatmaNirbhar Factory Recognition under the same programme.
The assessment was carried out from April 6 to April 8, 2026, with 170 manufacturing units participating. The awards were presented during the NAMC ceremony held at ITC Maratha, Mumbai, on July 17.
The National Awards for Manufacturing Competitiveness were introduced by the International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM) in 2013 and are based on ten manufacturing competitiveness indicators used during on-site assessments.
According to the company, the assessment included manufacturing practices such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing, and the use of Industry 4.0 technologies.
Other areas covered included quality, safety, health and environment (QSHE), energy efficiency, resource management, employee training, quality circles and cross-functional coordination.
Jindal Stainless reported an annual turnover of ₹42,955 crore ($4.86 billion) in FY26. It is expanding its annual melt capacity to 4.2 million tonnes in FY27.
As of March 2026, the company operated 16 manufacturing and processing facilities in India and overseas, including Spain and Indonesia, with a business network across 12 countries.
As of July 24, 2026, 1:13 pm, Jindal Stainless Ltd share price was trading at ₹722.20, down 1.85% from the previous closing price.
The latest recognitions were announced after the 2026 NAMC assessment involving manufacturing facilities from different sectors. Jindal Stainless' Hisar and Mundra units received awards across multiple categories under the evaluation process.
