Jain Irrigation Share Price Rises Over 3%; Bags ₹117.96 Crore MSEDCL Empanelment for 5,000 Solar Pumps

Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for 5,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems, as per an exchange filing dated September 17, 2026.  

The systems will be supplied and installed across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana.  

Order Value Stands At ₹117.96 Crore 

The project has a value of ₹117.96 crore, including GST. It covers agricultural solar pumping systems with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP.  

Jain Irrigation will be responsible for the work from design and manufacturing through to transportation, installation, testing and commissioning.  

Work To Be Completed In 60 Days 

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the project is scheduled to be completed within 60 days. The empanelment covers both the supply and installation of the pumping systems, with the work spread across Maharashtra.  

The order has been awarded by a domestic entity in Maharashtra and is classified as a Letter of Empanelment for off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems.   

No Related Party Transaction 

The filing states that Jain Irrigation’s promoters, promoter group and group companies do not have any interest in MSEDCL, the entity awarding the empanelment. It also states that the transaction does not fall under related party transactions.  

Scope of the Project 

The 5,000 solar pumping systems will be delivered as part of the Maharashtra government’s Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana.  

The stated scope includes design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the three specified pump capacities.
