IRCON International Limited has received a ₹96.25 crore works contract from Konkan Railway Corporation Limited for the maintenance of communication systems in the Katra-Banihal section of Northern Railway.

The contract is dated October 8, 2026, and covers a five-year period. IRCON disclosed the order on October 9, 2026.

Contract Covers Five Years of Maintenance

The contract involves comprehensive annual maintenance of the Integrated Tunnel Communication System installed across tunnels, bridges and stations in the Katra-Banihal section.

The total contract value is ₹96,25,49,694, including GST, with an execution period of 60 months.

Four Communication Systems Included

The maintenance work covers the IP-based video surveillance system, public address system, emergency communication system and networking backbone system.

These systems form part of the communication infrastructure installed along the specified railway section.

As of 09 October 2026, Ircon International Ltd share price closed at ₹104.56 per share, reflecting a surge of 1.23% from the previous trading session.

Conclusion

The five-year contract is valued at ₹96.25 crore, including GST, and covers maintenance of surveillance, public address, emergency communication and networking systems across the Katra-Banihal section.
