Infosys Limited on April 22, 2026 announced a collaboration with OpenAI to expand the use of artificial intelligence across enterprise operations, as per an exchange filing.
The company said the arrangement is intended to help clients move from limited testing phases to broader implementation across business functions.
Under the agreement, OpenAI’s models, including Codex, will be integrated with Infosys Topaz Fabric, the company’s AI services suite.
Infosys said the combined setup is to support deployment within existing systems, with defined workflows and governance layers.
The focus remains on applying AI tools within operational environments rather than standalone pilots.
Initial work will cover software engineering, legacy system upgrades, DevOps processes and e-commerce platforms. These areas involve large-scale coding and maintenance tasks.
Infosys said the use of workflow automation and prebuilt AI agents could reduce manual intervention and improve turnaround times in such functions.
Infosys plans to use its global delivery network to implement the solutions across client systems.
The scope includes use cases such as code review, application development support and detection of system vulnerabilities.
The company indicated that these tools would be integrated into existing workflows rather than introduced as separate systems.
The companies have outlined an operating model combining technology platforms, workforce capability and delivery processes.
This is intended to help organisations extend AI usage across departments while maintaining standard oversight practices.
