
Infosys and ExxonMobil have broadened their strategic engagement to advance immersion cooling technologies aimed at improving energy efficiency in AI-driven data centre environments, as per press release.
Infosys and ExxonMobil will jointly develop and deploy ExxonMobil Data Center Immersion Fluids to enhance power utilisation and cooling efficiency in high-performance computing environments. The initiative aligns with Infosys’ focus on energy innovation, decarbonization and cross-industry collaboration.
The solution will address growing AI and High-Performance Computing workloads by enabling high-efficiency cooling systems across digital infrastructure.
The collaboration integrates Infosys Topaz, the company’s AI-first suite leveraging generative AI technologies, and Infosys Cobalt, its cloud-focused services and platforms portfolio.
Infosys Topaz will support real-time optimisation of cooling operations, predictive maintenance and improved energy management.
Infosys Cobalt will provide secure and scalable deployment across cloud and data centre environments to ensure seamless integration for enterprise clients.
Ashiss Kumar Dash, EVP & Global Head – Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy and Enterprise Sustainability at Infosys, said the expanded engagement represents a “pivotal step in scaling next-generation solutions” and added that the partnership aims to reduce data centre energy costs and carbon emissions while enabling responsible scaling of AI infrastructure.
Infosys plans to extend these solutions to hyperscalers, global enterprises and public sector organisations across financial services, telecom, manufacturing, energy and government sectors.
Alistair Westwood, Global Marketing Manager at ExxonMobil Product Solutions Company, said the collaboration allows the company to apply its energy and thermal management expertise to digital infrastructure, adding that Infosys’ AI and digital services enable the adoption of smarter and more resilient systems.
