Arijit Basu's Distinguished Career
Arijit Basu brings extensive experience to IndusInd Bank. He holds a master's degree in arts from the University of Delhi and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. His previous roles include Chairman of HDB Financial Services Ltd., a subsidiary of HDFC Bank Ltd., and Managing Director of State Bank of India.
He has also served as MD & CEO of SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. Currently, he is an Independent Director on the boards of Prudential Plc, Peerless Hospitex and Hospital Research Centre Ltd., and CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd. Additionally, he advises Ares Management Corporation and is on the Advisory Board of Razorpay Inc.
Regulatory Compliance and Approval
The appointment of Arijit Basu has received approval from the Reserve Bank of India and the Compensation and Nomination & Remuneration Committee. The bank has confirmed that he is not debarred from holding the office of Director by any regulatory authority.
