InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo), India’s largest airline, will officially join the BSE Sensex index from December 22, 2025. The update was announced by BSE Index Services on November 21, 2025. Once added, IndiGo shares will begin trading as a Sensex constituent under the code 539448.
As part of this reshuffle, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) will be removed from the Sensex list on the same date. Recently, Tata Motors demerged into 2 separate companies, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles. While this restructuring affected the Nifty 50 index count, it did not change the Sensex lineup except for this replacement.
The BSE Sensex includes 30 of the largest and most actively traded companies on the Bombay Stock Exchange. Being part of this index often boosts visibility and investor confidence.
InterGlobe Aviation share price (NSE: IndiGo) is trading at ₹5,899.00 as of 24 November, 9:19 am, with a market cap of ₹2.28 lakh crore, a P/E ratio of 44.68, a dividend yield of 0.17%, and a quarterly dividend payout of ₹2.51 per share.

The Sensex reshuffle marks a major milestone for IndiGo, reflecting its strong performance and market position. Meanwhile, Tata Motors PV’s removal highlights its recent underperformance. Investors will now watch how these changes shape market sentiment in the coming months.
