ICICI Bank Share Price in Focus; $17.88 Billion FCNR(B) Deposits Mobilised Under RBI Swap Facility

ICICI Bank has mobilised around $17.88 billion in gross FCNR(B) deposits under the Reserve Bank of India’s swap facility. The amount is equivalent to about ₹1,702 billion, according to the bank’s stock exchange filing dated September 2, 2026.  

The swap facility for FCNR(B) deposits was available until August 31, 2026.  

Loans Against Deposits 

International branches and subsidiaries of ICICI Bank have provided loans of around $9 billion against the deposits mobilised through the facility. The rupee equivalent of these loans is about ₹856 billion.  

The bank has also issued standby letters of credit to other banks in relation to loans against these deposits. The value of these standby letters of credit is around $3.63 billion, or approximately ₹346 billion.  

USD Bond Issuances 

ICICI Bank also noted that it had issued a total of around $3.55 billion in USD-denominated bonds during July and August 2026. These issuances had been disclosed by the bank on various dates.  

The bank’s filing gives the rupee figures as convenience translations using the exchange rate prevailing on August 31, 2026. The rupee amounts therefore correspond to that date’s exchange rate.  

Regulatory Filing Details 

ICICI Bank stated that the information in the disclosure is provisional and unaudited. The filing was signed by Prachiti Lalingkar, Company Secretary, and submitted to the stock exchanges for their records.  

The disclosure sets out the deposits mobilised under the RBI facility, the loans provided against them and the related standby letters of credit, along with the bank’s USD-denominated bond issuances during July and August.

As of September 2, 2026, 1:47 pm, ICICI Bank share price was trading at ₹1,422.00, a 1.11% decrease from the previous closing price.
