HUDCO Q1 Results: Net Profit Jumps 35% to ₹851 Crore, Declares ₹1.25 Interim Dividend

Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) reported a strong performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, with net profit rising 35.1% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹851 crore. The public sector lender also announced its first interim dividend for FY27, rewarding shareholders after posting healthy growth in earnings and interest income.
The company's shares ended 3.27% higher at ₹202.15 on the BSE following the announcement.
Net Profit and Interest Income Register Strong Growth
HUDCO posted a net profit of ₹851 crore in the first quarter of FY27, compared with ₹630 crore in the same period last year.
The company's net interest income (NII), which measures the difference between interest earned and interest paid, increased 21.1% YoY to ₹1,149 crore from ₹948 crore a year ago. The growth reflects improved lending performance and stronger interest earnings during the quarter.
The company had earlier reported that loan sanctions nearly doubled during the quarter, while loan disbursements rose 28%, indicating sustained demand for financing.
HUDCO Announces Interim Dividend
Along with its quarterly results, HUDCO's board declared a first interim dividend of ₹1.25 per equity share for FY27. The dividend represents 12.5% of the face value of ₹10 per share and will be paid after deducting applicable tax deducted at source (TDS).
The company has fixed Friday, July 31, 2026, as the record date to determine eligible shareholders. HUDCO said the dividend payment will be completed within 30 days from the date of declaration.
HUDCO Share Price Performance
HUDCO share price closed at ₹202.15 on the BSE, gaining ₹6.40 or 3.27% after the company announced its quarterly earnings and interim dividend.
