Highway Infrastructure Share Price Surges; Secures ₹328.77 Crore NHAI Contract

Highway Infrastructure Limited has expanded its footprint in highway operations after entering into a toll collection and maintenance contract with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a strategic road stretch in Andhra Pradesh.
Key Development
The company entered into an agreement on January 8, 2026, for the engagement of a user fee agency on the basis of competitive bidding through e-tender at the Kaza Fee Plaza. The project covers the Chilakaluripet–Vijayawada section of NH-16 from Km 355.000 to Km 437.500, spanning a total length of 82.5 km.
Highway Infrastructure is scheduled to commence toll operations from January 23, 2026. The total contract value stands at ₹328.78 crore and was awarded following a competitive bidding process.
Operational Scope and Responsibilities
The mandate includes collection of user fees at the Kaza Fee Plaza along with the upkeep and maintenance of adjacent toilet blocks. This includes regular cleaning, maintenance and recouping of consumable items to ensure uninterrupted public amenities for highway users during the contract period.
