As per Economic Times report, Starting January 10, 2026, HDFC Bank will overhaul its complimentary airport lounge access policy for debit card holders.
The current physical swipe model will be replaced by a digital voucher system with a revised spending threshold.
HDFC Bank will increase the minimum quarterly debit card spending requirement from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 for customers to avail complimentary airport lounge access.
With effect from January 10, 2026, those who meet this spending requirement will receive an SMS or email within 2 working days containing a link to claim their digital lounge access voucher.
Customers must claim the voucher by verifying their mobile number with an OTP. A 12 to 18-digit alphanumeric code or QR code will then be sent via SMS and email, which must be presented at select airport lounges for access.
Physical card swiping will no longer be valid for entry after this date. Infiniti debit card users will continue receiving lounge access without any spending criteria.
The lounge vouchers will remain valid from the date of generation until the end of the next calendar quarter. For instance, a voucher received on November 15, 2025, will be valid until March 31, 2026. Similarly, vouchers claimed on January 10, 2026, will be valid until June 30, 2026.
Eligible spend periods will be divided into calendar quarters: January to March, April to June, July to September, and October to December. Upon successful spend tracking, the bank initiates communication for voucher claims.

The lounge list is subject to periodic revision based on availability.
Step 1: Receive SMS/email with claim link within 2 working days after meeting ₹10,000 quarterly spend criteria.
Step 2: Validate mobile number via OTP and access the voucher claim page.
Step 3: Click ‘Claim Now’ and complete OTP verification.
Step 4: Upon successful claim, a voucher code or QR code will be delivered via email and SMS.
As of December 19, 2025, at 3:30 PM, HDFC Bank share price on NSE was closed at ₹985.50 up by 0.59% from the previous closing price.
HDFC Bank’s transition to a voucher-based lounge access system increases the minimum spend to ₹10,000 per quarter, aligning benefits more closely with customer card usage while simplifying access through a digital format.
