Greaves Electric Mobility Expands to Nepal with Ampere Nexus Launch

Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM), the electric mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, has announced its international expansion into Nepal as part of its long-term growth strategy. The company is entering the market through a partnership with STC Auto Solution Private Limited, marking a significant milestone in its global electric vehicle journey.

Ampere Nexus Leads Market Entry

As part of the expansion, GEM is launching its flagship electric scooter, Ampere Nexus, aimed at addressing Nepal’s unique mobility requirements. The model gained recognition in the Asia Book of Records for successfully conquering the 70 hairpin bends of Kolli Hills, one of South India’s most demanding driving routes. 

The vehicle has also demonstrated performance reliability by climbing Shipki La Pass at an altitude of 13,200 feet, reinforcing confidence in its high-altitude adaptability.

Built for Nepal’s Terrain and Conditions

The Ampere Nexus is engineered to perform across steep gradients, uneven roads, and fluctuating climatic conditions. Equipped with an LFP battery, the scooter delivers consistent torque, smooth acceleration in stop-and-go traffic, and improved ride stability.

Its design focuses on durability, reliability, and rider comfort, making it suitable for both urban commuting and challenging hill routes common in Nepal.

Smart Features and Connected Mobility

The scooter features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen integrated with Nex.io technology, enabling full-screen map mirroring and real-time navigation assistance. Riders benefit from turn-by-turn directions, ETA updates, call connectivity, music controls, and real-time vehicle monitoring. The Ampere Connect Companion app further enhances the ownership experience with battery health tracking and smart connectivity features.
