Gravita India Share Price Falls 8% After Q1 FY27 Results; Announces Subsidiary Closure

Gravita India share price (NSE: GRAVITA) fell more than 8% during intraday trading on July 28, 2026, a day after the company announced its Q1 FY27 financial results and the planned closure of its subsidiary, Gravita Metal.

The stock dropped despite the company reporting healthy growth in both revenue and profit for the June quarter.

Gravita India Q1 FY27 Financial Performance 

For the quarter ended June 2026, Gravita India reported a net profit of ₹106 crore, up 14% year-on-year (YoY) from ₹93 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company's revenue increased nearly 42% YoY to ₹1,475 crore, compared with ₹1,040 crore in Q1 FY26, reflecting strong business growth during the quarter.

Company to Close Gravita Metal Subsidiary

Gravita India announced that Gravita Metal will discontinue operations from August 1, 2026.

According to the company, the subsidiary's business is already being carried out at its Jaipur manufacturing facility, which offers better operational and cost efficiencies. Consolidating operations at one location is expected to improve resource utilisation.

The company also clarified that the closure is not expected to have any material financial impact.

Gravita Metal contributed ₹92.24 crore, or 2.65% of the company's turnover, and around ₹1 crore, or 0.05% of Gravita India's net worth. During FY26, the subsidiary reported a profit after tax of ₹1.63 crore, accounting for 0.55% of the group's total profit.

Gravita India Share Price Performance

Gravita India share price was trading at ₹1,660.80, down 7.16%, on July 28, 2026. During the session, the stock touched an intraday low of ₹1,639.10 after opening at ₹1,799.00. The stock has a 52-week high of ₹1,950.00.

Although Gravita India reported strong revenue and profit growth for Q1 FY27, investors reacted negatively to the announcement of its subsidiary's closure.
