Galaxy Surfactants Q1 FY27 Earnings Results

For the June 2026 quarter, Galaxy Surfactants Limited recorded a total income of ₹1,785.18 crore. This represents a 38.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase from ₹1,289.15 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

Additionally, the total income rose by 35.8% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from ₹1,314.98 crore in the March 2026 quarter.

The company's net profit (PAT) for the June 2026 quarter stood at ₹165.92 crore. This marks a 108.7% YoY increase from ₹79.49 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year and a 165.8% QoQ rise from ₹62.43 crore in the March 2026 quarter.

Galaxy Surfactants Limited has reported its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA of ₹252.5 crore for Q1 FY27, compared to ₹135.1 crore in the same period last year.

This achievement is attributed to a combination of demand recovery, strategic execution, and effective management of feedstock and logistics volatility.

Annual Financial Overview for FY26

For the fiscal year 2026, Galaxy Surfactants Limited reported a total income of ₹5,270.38 crore. The net profit (PAT) for the same period was ₹267.38 crore.

Record EBITDA and Volume Growth

Galaxy Surfactants recorded an EBITDA/MT of ₹35,458, a significant increase from the previous year's ₹20,009. Consolidated volumes grew by 5% YoY, with India leading the growth at 11%. However, the AMET region, including Egypt, saw a 4% decline due to supply-chain disruptions.

Regional Performance and Key Drivers

India emerged as the primary growth engine with an 11% increase in volumes, driven by double-digit growth in the performance segment and high single-digit growth in specialty products. The reversal of relative economics between petrochemical and oleochemical chains also contributed to this growth.

AMET and APEC Performance

The AMET (Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey) region faced logistics disruptions, particularly in Egypt, where raw materials were stuck in ports for approximately 7 weeks. Despite a 4% YoY decline in volumes, there was a sequential recovery with a 90% improvement.

In contrast, the APEC region experienced double-digit growth, supported by distribution expansion and localisation efforts.

Financial Performance and Guidance

Galaxy Surfactants' Q1 performance was characterised by a conversion of last year's headwinds into tailwinds, with reformulation reversal and specialty ingredients improvement playing key roles. Management has raised the EBITDA/MT guidance to ₹24,000–25,000, reflecting structural improvements.
