Eternal Ltd on February 17 announced a collaboration with OpenAI to introduce artificial intelligence tools across its platforms. The plan covers Zomato, Blinkit, District and Hyperpure, along with partner-facing systems, internal operations, the Feeding India initiative and the company’s AI venture, Nugget.
In its filing, the company said the arrangement is meant to incorporate AI across its consumer apps, partner tools and internal platforms.
As part of the collaboration, Eternal will use OpenAI’s Enterprise API platform to test new features for customers, restaurant partners and delivery workers. Initial areas include AI-assisted tasks for merchants and riders, as well as assistants built into partner portals.
The company is also exploring updates to search and discovery features across its platforms. These changes are to be introduced gradually in selected use cases.
Eternal is evaluating OpenAI’s coding models, including GPT-5.3-Codex, for use in its in-house automation platform, Stitch. The system is used across engineering and business teams to manage workflows.
The integration is expected to automate some routine processes and reduce manual steps across departments.
The collaboration also extends to Nugget, Eternal’s AI-native venture. OpenAI’s models will be used in selected development tasks to shorten product cycles.
In addition, the 2 companies are discussing a structured programme to introduce AI tools to restaurant and delivery partners, with a focus on operations, compliance and decision-making.
