Escorts Kubota Share Price in Focus; Tractor Sales Rise 19% in August

Escorts Kubota Limited sold more tractors in August than it did a year earlier, with total sales reaching 10,072 units.
Domestic sales did most of the heavy lifting, rising 20.5% to 9,523 tractors. Export sales, meanwhile, were largely unchanged at 549 units.
Tractor Sales Gain Momentum
The August numbers have also lifted the company's performance for the first five months of FY27. Escorts Kubota sold 55,665 tractors between April and August, against 46,191 in the same period of FY26.
Domestic sales rose 22.6% during the period to 53,174 units. Exports moved in the opposite direction, falling 11.6% to 2,491 tractors.
Rural Conditions Help
The company linked the improvement in tractor demand to better monsoon conditions and healthy progress in Kharif sowing. Rural sentiment and expectations of better farm incomes also provided support.
Escorts Kubota expects Kharif crop outcomes, reservoir levels and the deferred festive season to have a bearing on demand in the coming months. It also pointed to a higher base and rising costs as factors that could moderate industry growth.
Construction Equipment Adds to Growth
The construction equipment business sold 435 machines in August, up from 375 a year earlier. That works out to 16% growth.
For April-August, sales reached 2,313 machines, compared with 1,788 in the year-ago period, a 29.4% increase.
The company said infrastructure execution, government capital spending and the project pipeline were supporting demand. Export opportunities were another positive, while geopolitical uncertainty and commodity prices remained concerns.
Escorts Kubota Share Price Performance
As of 01 September 2026, at 12:30 PM, Escorts Kubota Limited share price is trading at ₹3,015.50 per share, reflecting a surge of 0.68% from the previous trading session.
Conclusion
The August sales update showed higher volumes in both businesses. Tractor sales were led by the domestic market, while construction equipment also continued to grow during the first five months of FY27.
