Coal India Limited received a commissioning certificate dated May 4, 2026, from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) for a 100 MW solar power project.
The plant is located at Bhadramali village in Deesa taluka of Banaskantha district, Gujarat, and has been operational with effect from March 31, 2026.
This development reflects the company’s participation in renewable energy capacity addition alongside its core coal production business.
The company shared this update with stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Such disclosures are made to keep investors informed about material developments that may have a bearing on business operations.
