State-run coal major Coal India Limited has announced that its Board of Directors will meet on April 27, 2026, to consider and approve its audited financial results for the fourth quarter and full financial year ended March 31, 2026.
The announcement, made under Regulations 29 and 33 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, signals a key upcoming trigger for investors tracking the company’s performance and dividend outlook.
The board will review both standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 FY26, following scrutiny by the audit committee. The earnings announcement will provide insights into Coal India’s production volumes, realisations, and margin trends during the quarter.
Given the company’s dominant position in India’s coal production, its financial performance is often seen as a proxy for demand trends in the power and infrastructure sectors.
In addition to earnings, the board may also consider recommending a final dividend for FY 2025-26. If declared, the dividend will be subject to shareholder approval at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Coal India has historically maintained a strong dividend payout track record, making any announcement in this regard particularly relevant for income-focused investors.
The company had already closed its trading window for insiders from April 1, 2026, in line with its code of conduct for prevention of insider trading. The trading window is scheduled to reopen on April 30, 2026, after the financial results are made public.
The notice has been made available on the company’s official website as well as on stock exchange platforms, ensuring transparency and regulatory compliance.
With both earnings and dividend considerations on the agenda, Coal India’s upcoming board meeting is expected to be a key event for the market. Investors will closely track the company’s financial performance and any dividend announcement for cues on returns and sector outlook.
