Centrum Capital Limited has announced that its subsidiary Centrum Broking Limited has received approval to operate as a Category I Merchant Banker, strengthening the group’s capabilities in investment banking and corporate advisory services. The updated was shared through an exchange filing dated March 11, 2026. 

Merchant Banking Capability Expansion 

With this development, Centrum Broking Limited (CBL) will be able to provide a range of merchant banking services including advisory and capital market related activities for corporates. The status allows the company to expand its role in facilitating corporate fund-raising and financial advisory assignments. 

The approval became effective on March 11, 2026, enabling the subsidiary to operate in the merchant banking segment on a long-term basis. 

Strengthening Centrum Capital’s Financial Services Platform 

Centrum Broking operates as a subsidiary of Centrum Capital Limited, a diversified financial services group offering investment banking, wealth management, broking and other financial solutions. 

The addition of merchant banking capabilities is expected to enhance the group’s presence in capital market services and broaden its ability to support corporate clients with financial structuring and advisory services.
