Ceigall India Limited, an infrastructure EPC company, has expanded its renewable energy presence by signing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) through its wholly owned subsidiary, Ceigall Morena Solar BESS Park Limited, with Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL).
The agreement is for the development of a 220 MW Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Morena Solar Park, Madhya Pradesh, with an estimated project value of ₹1,700 crore, including GST.
The project integrates solar power generation with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and will be developed over an 18-month construction period.
Following commissioning, the project will operate for 25 years, with a discovered tariff of ₹2.70 per kWh.
The project marks another milestone in Ceigall India's diversification into clean energy infrastructure, complementing its existing presence in transportation and civil infrastructure.
According to the company, the project also strengthens its footprint in India's renewable energy sector and supports the country's transition towards a more resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem.
Commenting on the development, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman & Managing Director, Ceigall India Limited, said "Infrastructure continues to be one of the strongest pillars of India's journey towards becoming a Viksit Bharat."
He added that the project reflects the company's growing capabilities beyond conventional infrastructure and reinforces its commitment to building "world-class assets that create long-term value for the nation."
Sehgal also said Ceigall's diversified expertise and leadership team would enable the company to contribute to India's sustainable growth story while creating long-term value for stakeholders.
As part of its next phase of growth, Ceigall India has appointed two experienced professionals to its Board of Directors to strengthen strategic oversight.
The company said it remains focused on executing large-scale infrastructure projects that contribute to economic development, energy security and sustainable nation-building.
