According to the company’s filing, the appellate authority decided the matter in CEAT’s favour, describing the issue as one involving interpretation. It also held that proceedings initiated under Section 74 of the CGST Act were not sustainable.
The order relates to the ₹107 crore demand raised in connection with the supply of tubes and flaps along with tyres. CEAT said the matter had now been adjudicated in its favour through the appeal process.

The company said communication regarding the order was received by its authorised officers on 26 August 2026. CEAT subsequently informed BSE and the National Stock Exchange about the development under the disclosure requirements applicable to listed companies.

CEAT said the outcome of the proceedings would have no impact on its financial position, including its profit and loss account. The company also reported no impact on its operations or other activities.
