
On July 20, 2026, Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company Limited released its unaudited financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, as per the exchange filings.
The company reported a 19.9% year-on-year increase in total income, reaching ₹4,346.98 crore. Net profit for the quarter rose by 20.2% year-on-year to ₹28.14 crore.
In the June 2026 quarter, Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company’s income rose to ₹4,346.98 crore from ₹3,625.44 crore in the same period last year.
This also marks a significant quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase of 242.9% from ₹1,267.54 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
The company recorded a net profit (PAT) of ₹28.14 crore, reflecting a 20.2% YoY growth from ₹23.42 crore in the previous year.
However, this represents a 19.0% decline compared to the ₹34.73 crore profit reported in the March 2026 quarter.
For the fiscal year 2026, the company’s total income reached ₹11,514.85 crore. The net profit for the same period was ₹126.61 crore, highlighting the company's financial performance over the year.
The company's Value of New Business (VNB) reached ₹124 crore, marking a 28.8% year-on-year growth from ₹96 crore in Q1 FY26. The New Business Premium Income grew by 25.2% year-on-year to ₹1,044 crore, while the Total Annualized Premium Equivalent (APE) increased by 18.8% to ₹585 crore. The Total Premium Income closed at ₹2,161 crore.
Assets Under Management (AUM) grew by 13.8% to ₹49,683 crore. The company also reported a 19% increase in the number of individual policies issued. The product composition on an APE basis showed Unit Linked Insurance Plans (ULIP) at 36%, Non-Par Savings at 26%, Annuity at 14%, Non-Par Protection at 13%, and Par products at 10%.
The company's Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter was ₹28.14 crore, a 20.2% increase from ₹23.42 crore in Q1 FY26. The rolling 12-month Embedded Value (EV) rose to ₹7,383 crore with an operating RoEV of 19.7%.
The total expense ratio increased to 20.70% from 19.60% last year. The solvency ratio stood at 198%, with a 13th-month persistency ratio of 85.9% and a 61st-month ratio of 55.3%.
Canara HSBC Life Insurance, established in 2007, operates through a bancassurance model with 107 branches. It is a joint venture with Canara Bank holding a 36.5% stake, HSBC Insurance (Asia Pacific) Holdings Limited with 25.5%, and Punjab National Bank with 13%.
