BHEL Share Price in Focus; Wins ₹2,000-2,500 Crore Order from Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Nigeria

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed a major international contract with Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals Free Zone Enterprise, Nigeria.
The agreement covers the design, manufacturing, supply, and supervision of erection and commissioning of gas turbine generator packages for the refinery and polypropylene plant located in the Dangote Industries Free Zone.
The order further strengthens BHEL's presence in international power equipment and industrial infrastructure projects.
Order Valued At ₹2,000-2,500 Crore
According to the company's disclosure, the contract size is estimated between ₹2,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore.
The agreement was signed on June 2, 2026, with Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals Free Zone Enterprise, Nigeria.
The project has been awarded through an international tender process and does not involve any related-party transactions.
Scope Includes Eight Gas Turbine Generator Packages
Under the contract, BHEL will design, manufacture and supply eight gas turbine generator packages for the petroleum refinery and polypropylene plant in Nigeria.
The scope also includes supervision of erection, commissioning and performance guarantee testing of the equipment. Civil works are excluded from the contract.
The equipment will support power requirements for one of the largest refinery and petrochemical complexes in Africa.
Execution Timeline of 26 Months
BHEL stated that the project is scheduled to be completed within 26 months from the effective date of the contract.
The company will undertake manufacturing and supply activities up to Mumbai Port before overseeing installation and commissioning at the project site in Nigeria.
