As per PIB, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) held a Dividend Distribution Ceremony on December 15, 2025, where a cheque of ₹109.98 crore was presented to the Government of India for the financial year (FY) 2024–25.  

The event underlines BHEL’s continuing contribution to India's industrial and financial framework. 

BHEL Records 100% Increase in Dividend Payout for FY 2024–25 

On December 15, 2025, BHEL formally handed over a dividend cheque amounting to ₹109.98 crore to the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy. This amount signifies a 100% increase in dividends compared to the financial year 2023–24, reflecting the company's financial performance and its commitment to rewarding stakeholders. 

The Dividend Distribution Ceremony was attended by the Secretary and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Heavy Industries, along with the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) and Functional Directors of BHEL. The gathering emphasised the public sector undertaking’s alignment with national policy priorities. 

Encouragement for Continued Contribution to National Programmes 

During the ceremony, the Union Minister highlighted BHEL’s pivotal role in advancing key government initiatives. He urged the engineering major to continue supporting India’s drive towards becoming a self-reliant economy under ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’ and the ‘Make in India’ programme.  

The company’s efforts in manufacturing and heavy engineering were recognised as vital components in building a Viksit Bharat.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Share Price Performance 

As of December 15, 2025, at 3:15 PM, Bharat Heavy Electricals share price on NSE was trading at ₹282.55 down by 0.91% from the previous closing price.
