Bharti Airtel reported consolidated revenue of ₹58,539 crore for the quarter ended June 2026, an increase of 18.4% from ₹49,463 crore a year earlier, as per exchange filings dated August 4, 2026.

Revenue was also 5.7% higher than ₹55,383 crore reported in the March quarter. Growth was supported by higher mobile spending in India and continued contribution from its Africa business. The reported revenue was above market estimates.

Profit Increases Despite One-Time Items

Consolidated net profit rose 37.3% year-on-year to ₹8,167 crore from ₹5,948 crore. On a sequential basis, profit increased 11.5% from ₹7,325 crore. The figure, however, was below market expectations.

During the quarter, the company recognised an exceptional charge of ₹353.4 crore towards the proposed settlement of a commercial dispute involving a subsidiary. This was partly offset by a tax-related benefit of ₹389.8 crore following a favourable order on business losses from earlier years.

India Business Records Higher ARPU

Revenue from Airtel's India operations stood at ₹41,214 crore, up 9.7% from the corresponding quarter last year. Mobile services contributed ₹29,928 crore, accounting for 73% of total revenue.

Average revenue per user (ARPU) increased to ₹264 per month from ₹250 a year earlier and ₹257 in the previous quarter. Airtel added one million postpaid customers during the quarter, taking its postpaid subscriber base beyond 30 million. It also added five million smartphone users.

Subscriber Base Expands

Airtel's India subscriber base crossed 491.8 million at the end of June, while its global customer base, including Africa, reached 680.9 million, up 12.5% year-on-year.

Smartphone data customers increased to 301.8 million and accounted for 80% of the mobile subscriber base. Average monthly data usage per customer rose to 34.4 GB from 26.9 GB a year ago.

The homes business added 473,000 broadband customers during the quarter.

EBITDA, Debt and Capital Spending

Consolidated EBITDA increased 19% year-on-year to ₹33,599 crore, while the EBITDA margin stood at 57.4%. India EBITDA came in at ₹24,781 crore with a margin of 60.1%. Net debt declined 35% year-on-year to ₹81,852 crore from ₹1.25 trillion.

Capital expenditure during the quarter stood at ₹13,386 crore, including ₹9,698 crore for India operations. Airtel also completed a share swap transaction that increased its stake in Airtel Africa to more than 79%.
