Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has approved the sale of Washed Coking Coal, comprising Medium Coking Coal (MCC) and Prime Coking Coal (PCC), through the Coal India Limited (CIL) e-auction scheme.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the BCCL Board of Directors on September 26, 2026, according to the company’s regulatory filing.
Sale From BCCL Washeries
The approval covers Washed MCC and Washed PCC produced at all BCCL washeries. The company will offer the coal through the CIL auction scheme under the pricing and quantity conditions approved by the Board.
The approved arrangement allows sales at 5% above the Import Parity Price (IPP). The filing states that there will be no upper cap on the price under this arrangement.

BCCL has set a maximum limit of 18 rakes for the sale. The approval applies during Quarter III and Quarter IV of FY 2026-27, covering the period specified by the company for the e-auction sales.
However, the arrangement is subject to an earlier end if negotiations with the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) on IPP are concluded. The company has stated that the applicable period will end at the earlier of the two conditions.
Other Board Approval
The same Board meeting also noted the appointment of H C O & CO. as BCCL’s statutory auditor for FY 2026-27. The appointment was communicated by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG).
