BEML has informed stock exchanges about the appointment of Shobha Sivasankaran as Chief General Manager – Finance as part of its senior management team.
The appointment became effective from May 14, 2026, according to the company’s regulatory filing submitted under SEBI Listing Regulations.
Experienced Finance Professional Joins BEML
Shobha Sivasankaran is a qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) with more than 29 years of experience at Steel Authority of India (SAIL) prior to joining BEML.
Her professional experience spans several areas of finance and commercial management, including costing, budgeting, project accounting, project appraisal, purchase concurrence, provident fund trust management and material accounting.
Held Leadership Roles at SAIL Plants
During her tenure at SAIL, she headed finance functions at Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant (VISL) and Chandrapur Ferro Alloy Plant (CFP).
The company stated that her experience in financial operations and commercial management would support BEML’s senior management structure.
BEML Share Price Performance
Shares of BEML were trading lower on May 15. The stock traded at ₹1,789.20, down ₹44.20 or 2.41%, compared with the previous closing price of ₹1,833.40.
