AXISCADES and Portugal’s OGMA Forge Strategic Alliance to Scale Global MRO Operations

AXISCADES Technologies has signed a strategic partnership with OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, a subsidiary of Embraer, to provide aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), airframe engineering and certification services, as per exchange filing.
The arrangement covers both commercial and military aircraft platforms, with joint business development planned in India, the UAE and the MENA region.
Aircraft Fleet Coverage
Under the partnership, AXISCADES will support Embraer and other aircraft fleets operating in India. These include VVIP and VIP aircraft, airborne early warning and control platforms, and commercial aircraft.
AXISCADES will contribute engineering capabilities in avionics, radar, electronic warfare, drones and aircraft design, while OGMA will provide airframe and engine MRO expertise.
OEM Access and Market Opportunities
The collaboration will use OGMA’s existing relationships with original equipment manufacturers such as Embraer, Airbus Defence, Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney.
The companies plan to jointly assess opportunities in engineering, manufacturing and maintenance services across the identified regions.
Facility Development in India
AXISCADES is establishing an integrated aerospace and defence manufacturing and MRO hub near Bengaluru International Airport.
Planned infrastructure includes dedicated hangars, engine and speed shops, electronics manufacturing, system integration units and certification testing facilities. The partnership is to support the development of domestic MRO capabilities using OGMA’s technical inputs.

AXISCADES is headquartered in Bengaluru and operates across 17 locations globally, with a workforce of more than 3,000 professionals. OGMA, founded in 1918, operates in aircraft manufacturing and maintenance services, with Embraer holding a 65% stake and the Portuguese government retaining 35%.
