Axis Max Life Completes Interest and Redemption Payment for 4,960 Non-Convertible Debentures

Axis Max Life Insurance Limited has completed the payment of interest and redemption amount for a series of listed non-convertible debentures (NCDs), as per an exchange filing dated August 1, 2026.  

The payment was released on July 31, 2026, instead of the original due date of August 2, 2026, as the maturity date fell on a non-business day.  

The company noted that the payment schedule followed the terms of the issue, the debenture trust deed, and applicable regulatory requirements.  

₹53.29 Crore Paid to Eligible Debenture Holders 

As per the disclosure, the company remitted a total of ₹53.29 crore through RTGS to investors eligible for the payment.  

The annexure lists institutional investors including SBI Pension Funds, PNB Trust, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Max Bupa Health Insurance, Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance, Reliance General Insurance and The Provident Fund Trust for Employees among the beneficiaries. The filing also notes that the payments were accepted by the respective banks. 

Securities Covered Under the Redemption 

The payment relates to 4,960 unsecured, subordinated, listed, rated, redeemable, non-cumulative, taxable, non-convertible debentures.  

Axis Max Life had earlier notified the exchanges on June 30 and July 7, 2026, regarding the exercise of the call option for these securities. The interest and redemption amount was paid to investors whose names appeared on the record date of July 16, 2026.  

Regulatory Filing Details  

The disclosure was submitted by Max Financial Services Limited, the parent company of Axis Max Life, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.  

Axis Max Life also made a separate filing confirming that debenture holders had been informed after the payment was processed on July 31, 2026.

Max Life Insurance Share Price Performance  

As of July 31, 2026, 3:30 pm, Max Financial Services Ltd share price closed at ₹1,507.00, a 0.25% decrease from the previous closing price.

With the payment now credited to eligible debenture holders, the redemption process for the identified debentures stands completed. The company has fulfilled the related regulatory filing requirements with the stock exchanges.
