On July 20, 2026, Ather Energy Limited successfully raised capital through a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) of its equity shares as per the exchange filings.  

The Fund Raise Committee approved the allotment on July 20, 2026, following the subscription window that opened on July 15, 2026, and closed on July 20, 2026. 

Issuance and Pricing Details 

The company issued 1,08,15,307 equity shares with a face value of ₹1 each. The final issue price was set at ₹1,202 per share, including a premium of ₹1,201.  

This price exceeded the regulatory floor price of ₹1,169.70 per share. The total gross proceeds from this placement amounted to ₹1,299,99,99,014. 

Impact on Share Capital 

Post-QIP, Ather Energy's paid-up equity share capital increased from ₹38,33,10,002 to ₹39,41,25,309. The updated shareholding pattern will be submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and BSE Limited. 

Top Institutional Allottees 

Prominent mutual funds and institutional entities secured significant allotments. HDFC Trustee Company Limited / HDFC Mutual Fund obtained 13.462% of the issue size, while Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund secured 13.077%. Axis Mutual Fund received 10.000%, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority obtained 5.226%.

Detailed Allocation for Major Allottees 

HDFC Mutual Fund Schemes collectively received 14,55,907 shares, representing 13.462% of the QIP. Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund Schemes were allotted 14,14,310 shares, accounting for 13.077%. Axis Mutual Fund Schemes secured 10,81,531 shares, equating to 10.000% of the QIP. 

Additional Institutional Allocations 

Edelweiss Mutual Fund Schemes received 8,31,947 shares, representing 7.692% of the QIP. Tata Mutual Fund Schemes were allotted 6,23,961 shares, accounting for 5.769%. Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund Schemes secured 5,82,363 shares, equating to 5.385% of the QIP. 

Ather Energy Share Price Performance 

As of July 21, 2026, at 10:23 AM, Ather Energy share price on NSE was trading at ₹1,262.20, down by 2.66% from the previous closing price.
