
Astra Microwave Products Limited has received a major defence order from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the supply of critical systems for the Uttam Radar programme, as per the exchange filings.
Under the contract, Astra Microwave will supply 122 AAAU (Aircraft Armament Avionics Unit) units and 121 Interface Frames for the Uttam Radar programme.
The order has been awarded by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, and is classified as a domestic contract.
The company will execute the order within 5 years. The total contract value stands at ₹2,205.23 crore, inclusive of all applicable taxes and GST, making it one of the significant defence orders announced by the company.
Astra Microwave Products Limited designs, develops and manufactures high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave systems, subsystems and electronic products for defence, space, meteorology and telecommunications applications.
The company supplies advanced radar and electronic systems to defence organisations and aerospace customers in India and overseas.

As of 31 July 2026, at 10:45 AM, Astra Microwave Products Limited share price was trading at ₹1,919.80 per share, reflecting a surge of 11.23% from the previous trading session.
The HAL contract adds a ₹2,205.23 crore order to Astra Microwave's order book and supports the Uttam Radar programme through the supply of 122 AAAU units and 121 Interface Frames. The project will be executed over a five-year period for the domestic defence sector.
