Aster DM Healthcare has invested ₹96 crore to expand its Women & Children facility at Aster Whitefield Hospital. This expansion reflects the company’s continued focus on enhancing healthcare infrastructure in Bengaluru.

With the latest development, the hospital’s total bed capacity will increase significantly from 380 to 539 beds, enabling it to cater to a larger patient base and meet rising healthcare demand.

Advanced Facilities and Services

The newly introduced 159-bed dedicated facility is designed to offer comprehensive care for women and children. It will provide specialised maternity services, covering the entire journey from preconception to childbirth.

The facility will also include advanced services such as water birthing, laparoscopic gynaecology, foetal medicine and surgery, and a fertility centre. Additionally, it will feature a Level 3A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), pediatric intensive care unit, and a high dependency unit to handle critical cases.

Strengthening Regional Healthcare Presence

The expansion at Whitefield is part of Aster’s broader growth strategy in Karnataka. The company is also developing a 500-bed hospital in Yeshwantpur and a 430-bed facility in Sarjapur, further enhancing its footprint in the region.

With these additions, Aster’s total bed capacity in Karnataka is expected to reach 2,573 beds, positioning it among the top three private healthcare providers in the state.

Focus on Quality and Accessibility

By expanding its infrastructure and services, Aster aims to improve access to high-quality healthcare, particularly in specialised segments like maternal and pediatric care. The move aligns with increasing demand for advanced and reliable healthcare services in urban centres.

The presence of advanced medical technologies and specialised units is expected to improve patient outcomes and overall healthcare delivery.
