Apollo Micro Systems Share Price in Focus; IDL Explosives Opens 9,000 MT Silo Unit in West Bengal

Apollo Micro Systems has announced the commissioning of a new bulk explosives facility by its group company, IDL Explosives, near Asansol, West Bengal.
Inaugurated on October 22 by Apollo Group founder and Managing Director Baddam Karunakar Reddy, the plant covers 8.4 acres and has a capacity of 9,000 metric tonnes. The facility is intended to serve mining operations across the region.
New Facility to Serve Coal India Subsidiaries
The Bolkunda Silo Unit is positioned to supply site-mixed bulk explosives to Eastern Coalfields, Central Coalfields and other mining customers. Its location within the eastern and central coal belts brings IDL's delivery infrastructure closer to key mining operations.
The silo system allows an emulsion matrix to be converted into explosives at the mine site when required. According to the company, this approach reduces the need to transport finished explosives and improves safety across the supply chain.
Supporting Existing Orders
The new unit expands IDL Explosives' network of plants and silos. It is also expected to help the company fulfil long-term bulk explosives orders secured from Coal India subsidiaries earlier this year.
Apollo Group said the addition is part of its broader plan to expand its energetics business and provide customers with a more integrated range of solutions.

Conclusion
The commissioning of the Bolkunda unit adds 9,000 MT of capacity to IDL Explosives' infrastructure near important coalfields. Its contribution will depend on how the facility supports customer requirements and the group's existing long-term supply commitments.
