Apollo Micro Systems Share Price in Focus as CCI Clears Way for Premier Explosives Acquisition

Apollo Micro Systems has received clarity on its proposed acquisition of Premier Explosives, with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) deciding that the transaction does not require its approval. The decision allows Apollo to move ahead with the next part of the acquisition process.
The company is looking to acquire a 41.33% stake in Premier Explosives under a Share Purchase Agreement signed on July 9, 2026. Apollo had approached the CCI in August as a precautionary step.
CCI Decision Clears the Way
The CCI's order, dated September 22, 2026, concluded that the Premier transaction does not require its approval.
Apollo said the CCI notice has now been disposed of, leaving the company to proceed with the remaining steps connected with the proposed acquisition.
Open Offer to Public Shareholders
The next stage involves the open offer to Premier Explosives' public shareholders.
Apollo said the open offer will proceed, while the revised schedule, including the tendering period, will be announced by the Manager to the Open Offer.
Management Points to Complementary Businesses
Apollo Micro Systems Managing Director B. Karunakar Reddy said the company had approached the CCI proactively to bring clarity to the acquisition process.
Reddy said Premier's capabilities in high-energy materials and propellants complement Apollo's work in defence electronics, guidance and weapon systems integration. He also said the combination with Premier and IDL Explosives would strengthen the group's integrated defence platform.
Apollo Links Deal to Defence Capabilities
Apollo has also highlighted its acquisition of technology for the Semi Active Laser Homing System (SALHS).
The company said this adds precision-guidance capability to its technology portfolio and fits with its plans around indigenous defence systems.
