Alpex Solar Share Price Surges Over 2%; Inaugurates 2.2 GW G12R TOPCon Solar Cell Plant in Uttar Pradesh

Alpex Solar has inaugurated a 2.2 GW G12R TOPCon solar cell manufacturing facility at Kosi-Kotwan Industrial Area in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
The company announced the development on September 17, 2026, after the plant was inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries and guests.
Plant Spread Across 9 Lakh Sq. Ft.
The facility covers 9 lakh sq. ft. and is the first integrated TOPCon giga manufacturing line in Uttar Pradesh, according to the company. The plant will manufacture G12R TOPCon solar cells, a technology designed to deliver higher efficiency and power output.
Adds Solar Cell Production
The Kosi-Kotwan facility adds solar cell manufacturing to Alpex Solar’s existing operations in PV modules and EPC services. The company said the plant forms part of its backward-integration strategy and will add manufacturing capacity for the domestic solar PV market.
Alpex Solar’s operations cover solar cells, PV modules, EPC solutions, solar pumps, and aluminium frames.
More Manufacturing Units Planned
The company has manufacturing facilities in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. It is also expanding its operations through five new manufacturing units across Greater Noida, Kosi-Kotwan in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Construction at Kosi-Kotwan is progressing as part of the company’s solar cell and module capacity expansion.
