Alembic Pharma reported higher revenue and profit for the quarter ended June, supported by growth in both its domestic and overseas businesses, as per exchange filings dated August 4, 2026.
Revenue from operations rose 26% year-on-year to ₹2,150 crore, compared with ₹1,710 crore in the same quarter last year. The increase was led by higher sales in the US formulations business, while the India business also recorded steady growth across several therapy segments.
The company posted a net profit of ₹172 crore, up 11.7% from ₹154 crore reported a year earlier. Operating profit, measured by EBITDA, increased 18.6% to ₹333 crore, against ₹280.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Despite the improvement in earnings, the EBITDA margin narrowed to 15.5% from 16.4% a year ago, indicating lower operating profitability during the quarter.
Alembic Pharma noted that its US formulations business grew 49% compared with the year-ago period, helped by product launches and higher sales volumes.
Excluding the US formulations segment, the rest of the business recorded 17% growth over the previous year. The company continued to expand its product portfolio through additional regulatory filings and ongoing development activities.
Revenue from the India branded business stood at ₹642 crore, reflecting 7% growth from the corresponding quarter last year. According to the company, the gynaecology, gastrology and ophthalmology portfolios recorded healthy growth during the period.
The animal healthcare business also reported an improved performance, contributing to the overall growth in the domestic market.
Alembic Pharma said post-R&D EBITDA increased 21% year-on-year, supported by operating leverage. The company continued investments in its US branded business and research pipeline, including work related to peptide development and a higher number of product filings.
