Airtel Expands 5G Network Across Odisha Ahead of Puri Rath Yatra

Bharti Airtel has completed a major network enhancement programme across Odisha ahead of the Puri Rath Yatra, one of the state's largest annual festivals.

To prepare for the expected increase in voice and data traffic during the event, Airtel has upgraded its network infrastructure in Puri and along the major road and rail routes leading to the city. The company said these enhancements are designed to provide uninterrupted voice calls and high-speed mobile data services during the festival.

All newly enhanced sites are equipped with 5G technology to help manage the expected surge in network demand.

Over 1,500 New 5G Sites Added Across Odisha

Over the past 12 months, Airtel has deployed more than 1,500 new 5G sites across Odisha.

The expansion has strengthened the company's network coverage across 30 districts, providing improved connectivity to more than 11 million customers in urban areas, smaller towns and rural regions.

According to the company, the investment is aimed at delivering reliable high-speed connectivity and improving the overall customer experience across the state.

Airtel Highlights Commitment to Reliable Connectivity

Airtel said ensuring uninterrupted connectivity during the Puri Rath Yatra is a key priority, as the festival attracts millions of devotees from across India and overseas every year.

The company stated that the network upgrades across Puri and key travel corridors are intended to provide a reliable and resilient network experience throughout the celebrations.

Airtel Introduces Fully Unlimited Prepaid Packs

Along with the network upgrades, Airtel Odisha has introduced Fully Unlimited prepaid plans starting at ₹399.

These plans offer unlimited 4G and 5G data along with unlimited voice calling for prepaid smartphone users. The company said the packs are designed to help customers stream content, share files, work, study and stay connected without worrying about daily data limits.
