Aegis Vopak Terminals Share Price in Focus; To Acquire 36,000 MT Capacity Storage Terminal at Pipavav Port

Aegis Vopak Terminals Limited is adding a new ammonia storage facility at Pipavav Port through its subsidiary Aegis Terminal (Pipavav) Limited. The terminal has static storage capacity of 36,000 MT and had become part of the subsidiary's capacity on August 24, 2026.
The transaction was completed through a Business Transfer Agreement signed on August 24, 2026, between Aegis Terminal (Pipavav) and Aegis Logistics Limited, one of Aegis Vopak's promoters.
₹525 Crore Deal for Pipavav Terminal
Aegis Terminal (Pipavav) will be paying ₹525 crore (₹5,250,000,000) to Aegis Logistics for the specialised ammonia terminal. The acquisition is being funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt.
The facility is being acquired on a slump sale basis as a going concern. It gives the subsidiary a dedicated storage and handling facility for ammonia at Pipavav Port.
New Capacity Targets Ammonia Demand
The company said the terminal adds ammonia storage and handling its chemicals and gas logistics portfolio. It cited demand from the fertiliser, industrial, and emerging energy transition segments as the rationale for the new infrastructure.
The company also said the facility expands its presence in future-oriented product segments while making use of its existing third-party logistics capabilities.
