Advait Energy Transitions Ltd. has secured a ₹75.56 crore turnkey contract from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) for a power infrastructure upgrade project in Gujarat. The order involves converting overhead electricity distribution lines into an underground cable network in the Udyognagar subdivision of the Porbandar Circle.

The project strengthens the company's order book and reinforces its presence in India's power transmission and distribution sector, where utilities are increasingly focusing on improving grid reliability and reducing transmission losses.

Advait Energy Wins ₹75.56 Crore Turnkey Order

According to the company's stock exchange filing, the contract is valued at ₹75,56,30,411, inclusive of taxes, and is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.

Awarded by Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL), the project aims to modernise the existing 11 kV high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) overhead power distribution network by replacing it with an underground cable system supported by a Ring Main Unit (RMU) network.

The project will be executed in the Udyognagar subdivision of Gujarat's Porbandar Circle.

Scope Includes Design, Installation and GIS Mapping

The turnkey contract covers the complete execution cycle, from planning and engineering to commissioning of the new network.

Advait Energy Transitions will undertake site surveys, system design and engineering, procurement and supply of materials, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of the underground cable infrastructure.

The scope also includes GIS-based "Geo Urja" mapping, developed by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), along with detailed asset tagging under the SI Scheme to support digital monitoring and asset management.

Focus on Power Infrastructure Modernisation

Underground cabling projects are increasingly being adopted by power distribution companies to improve electricity supply reliability, minimise outages caused by weather conditions, enhance public safety and reduce maintenance requirements.

The latest order aligns with Advait Energy Transitions' focus on power transmission, distribution and green energy infrastructure. The company, formerly known as Advait Infratech Limited, recently rebranded to reflect its broader presence across the energy transition value chain.
