Adani Enterprises Share Price in Focus After Acquiring 50% Stake in Monvarex Aluminium

Adani Global Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has bought a 50% equity stake in Monvarex Aluminium Holding RSC Ltd. The company informed the stock exchanges about the acquisition on September 26, 2026.  

Monvarex Aluminium Holding is a newly incorporated company that has not started commercial operations yet. The acquisition is linked to Adani's plans in alumina, aluminium smelting and Coal-to-Gas businesses in India.   

Adani Global Buys 50% Stake 

Adani Global has acquired half of Monvarex Aluminium Holding from Monvarex Holding RSC Ltd. The deal was completed through a cash payment of $25,000 for the shares.   

Monvarex Aluminium Holding is registered with the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Registration Authority. It was incorporated on May 15, 2025.  

Company Has Not Started Operations 

Monvarex Aluminium Holding has an authorised share capital of $50,000 and paid-up share capital of $50,000. It currently has no turnover as commercial activities have not started.  

The target company belongs to the metals, mining and chemicals sector. Adani said the acquisition will be used to undertake manufacturing and extraction of alumina, aluminium smelting and Coal-to-Gas business in India.  

No Regulatory Approval Required 

Adani Enterprises said no government or regulatory approval was required for the acquisition. The transaction has already been completed. It has also been classified as a non-related party transaction under SEBI's listing rules.

Adani Enterprises Share Price Performance  

As of 25 September 2026, Adani Enterprises Ltd share price closed at ₹2,916.50 per share, reflecting a surge of 0.57% from the previous trading session. 

Conclusion 

The acquisition gives Adani Global a 50% stake in a company that is yet to begin commercial operations. The immediate deal value is small at $25,000, but the filing sets out plans for the company to be involved in alumina and aluminium-related activities as well as Coal-to-Gas business in India.
